Quick Apply Full-time 6 hours ago Full Job Description Our Medical assistants are responsible for completing basic administrative and clinical tasks, such as taking patient histories and vital signs, preparing blood samples and remind patients scheduling appointments.
Physician assistants also work under the supervision of physicians; however, they have more responsibilities and are qualified to help with orders and medicine refills, minor procedures when necessary.
A few example of specific duties of medical assistants in our practice:
Prep charts for providers, ensure tests results are collected and Triage Patients:
Get vitals; Medical HX intake and recording OF recent medication list or changes Enter CPT codes for procedures and such done by them Go through and assist providers with annuals and measures needed to achieve quality measures and quality care for patients.
Handle prior authorizations for medications.
Make sure updates on medication and circle of care are recorded accordingly, communicate with medical records to retrieve necessary results or specialists notes.
Must have at least two years of Medical Assisting experience.
EMR/EHR (ECW knowledge is a plus.
