Other responsibilities include operating a cash register, receiving payments of cash and charges from customers or employee for goods or services, making change and issuing receipts to customers.
The cashier records amounts received and may be expected to total and summarize funds received, prepare bank deposits and verify cash at the beginning of a shift.
The cashier must understand and follow the UF Health Central Florida cash-handling policies and procedures.
The cashier may also be required to prepare and clean the dining room and server equipment for meal service, ensuring the acceptable appearance of the dining area.
May function as meal server in any capacity.
Maintaining proper security of cash at all times will be expected.
Non-essential duties may include the set-up and storage of the server and beverage area.
Other duties may be assigned by lead, supervisor or manager.
